Vaidora is not an emergency service. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, signs of a stroke, or thoughts of harming yourself, call 112 in India (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest hospital now. In India you can also reach Tele-MANAS on 14416 for mental health support.

Website content is general information

Articles, condition pages, quizzes, diet charts and dosha results on this website are general, educational information about Ayurveda. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or medical advice for you. Advice comes only from a practitioner, during or after a consultation in which they have assessed you.

Quizzes and assessments (including the dosha quiz) are a starting point for a conversation, not a clinical test.

Who you consult

Consultations are provided by Ayurvedic practitioners who hold a BAMS degree (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) and are registered in India under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine framework. They are not MBBS (allopathic) doctors. Each practitioner exercises their own clinical judgement and may decline to advise remotely.

Ayurveda alongside your other care

  • Do not stop, reduce or change any medicine prescribed by another doctor without speaking to that doctor first.
  • Herbal medicines can interact with other medicines and can cause side effects. Tell your Ayurvedic practitioner everything you take, and tell your other doctors about any herbal medicine you start.
  • Many herbs are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for children, or with some liver, kidney or heart conditions. Always mention these.
  • An online consultation cannot replace a physical examination or tests where they are needed.

Results

Everyone is different. We do not promise or guarantee any particular result or timeline, and nothing on this website should be read as a claim that Ayurveda cures, reverses or permanently resolves any disease.

Herbal products

Quality differs between manufacturers, and some Ayurvedic products sold online have been found to contain heavy metals. Buy only what your practitioner suggests, from a licensed pharmacy or reputable manufacturer. Stop and contact a doctor if you have a reaction.

If you live outside India

Our practitioners are registered in India and are not licensed to practise medicine in any other country. For patients outside India, a consultation is Ayurvedic wellness guidance — diet, routine and lifestyle — to be used alongside care from a locally licensed doctor, not instead of it. It is your responsibility to check that any product suggested is legal and appropriate where you live.

Comparisons and other brands

Where we compare our service with other providers, we describe them from information they have published, as at the date shown on the page. Their names and trademarks belong to them, and we are not affiliated with them. If anything we say about another provider is inaccurate, please tell us and we will correct it.
