Hair fall & scalp
Hair fall often has more than one cause — stress, diet, hormones, thyroid, a recent illness or pregnancy. An Ayurvedic doctor looks at all of it with you, then writes a plan for diet, routine, scalp care and, where appropriate, herbal medicines.

Ayurveda generally links hair health to digestion and nourishment, and to Pitta — the dosha associated with heat and metabolism. Your doctor assesses your Prakriti (constitution) and current imbalance to decide what to focus on.
Food matters in every Ayurvedic plan. See the pitta diet chart.

A BAMS doctor talks it through with you and may look at your scalp and hairline on camera.
Diet and routine changes, scalp care and, if appropriate, herbal medicines — sent on WhatsApp.
Check in on WhatsApp with questions, and review the plan at your next consultation.
An online Ayurvedic consultation is not the right first step if you have any of these. Please see a doctor in person — or call 112 in an emergency.

Often, yes — but tell your Ayurvedic doctor about everything you use. Don't stop a treatment a dermatologist prescribed without speaking to them first; stopping some treatments suddenly can cause a period of increased shedding.
Hair grows slowly, so any change takes months rather than weeks, and it differs from person to person. Your doctor will tell you what is realistic for you and when to review the plan.
Pattern hair loss is largely genetic and hormonal. An Ayurvedic doctor can help with general scalp and hair health and with contributing factors like stress and diet, but will be honest that it may not change a genetic pattern. A dermatologist can advise on medical options.
If you have recent reports — thyroid, iron/ferritin, vitamin D, B12 — share them before the consultation. If you don't, your doctor may suggest tests.
